The Intel build looks attractive because I can just throw a beefier PSU and an Ivy Bridge CPU of a higher caliber and enjoy a smoother system. On the other hand, the AMD build is cheaper. And I can give it a little kick for less than a $100 later with a 6670. On top of that, if I were going to upgrade the Intel build, I'd replace the motherboard anyway. I'd be willing to spend up to the cost of the computer to upgrade it again somewhere down the road. But maybe that notion is boneheaded?

I would take the second build over the first

APU can be upgraded when steamroller comes with kaveri

Also I would get the cheaper corsaie cx430 psu

Will the 6670 still be the highest spec discrete card you can use for hybrid crossfire or no?
