Need help on amd graphics card

hi guys,

i want to know the answer for the following question,

1)can i use an amd radeon card on my gigabyte ga h55m-d2h motherboard with ATI crossfireX technology?
like AMD HD 7970
AMD HD 7950
AMD HD 7870
AMD HD 7850
AMD HD 7770
AMD HD 7750 or even AMD 6xxx family

information about my cpu,

corei5-650,
windows 7,
ga h55m-d2h motherboard,
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16),
(The PCIEX16 slot conforms to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4),
2 x PCI slots,
Support for ATI CrossFireX™ technology,
Intel H55 chipset.
power supply:
220-240v
max 400w.

yes you can crossfire on that board howver the second PCI-e slot is only x4 mode so it will have crap performance

Also with that PSU you wont have the power to Crossfire most of the listed GPU's.

You would at least need to have 500w but i would get a 600w or higher.

wait, are you trying to use 2 cards in a crossfire setup or just one graphics card?

if you want to use just one then thats fine, thou upgrade the psu if you are going to get 7970 or 7950. 7870 and below should work just fine if your current psu is a good quality one.

twice the power? (disclaimer: your results may vary depending on games and other system components)

and that is what crossfire stands for, dual or multi gpu setup with amd/ati cards, with nvidia it is called SLI. You managed to confuse people by mentioning crossfire in the opening post...

Yes he did but i figured he was talking about just one GPU =P
