We are seeking an Audio/Electronics Technician to be responsible for
the following: testing and performance verification of digital audio
encoding and decoding technologies; troubleshooting software- and
hardware-based systems; conducting detailed experimental testing to
collect design data or assist in research; and assisting in test
signal development and procedures.
Requirements:
ASEE or equivalent degree and/or demonstrated experience.
Minimum of three years' experience testing audio and other consumer
electronic products.
The candidate hired will have an understanding of electronics
circuitry/troubleshooting.
Experience with audio precision equipment preferred.
Previous experience with analog, digital, and/or video circuits and
logic systems preferred.
Professional or semi-professional audio experience, especially
critical listening skills, desirable.
Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas both verbally and
in writing.
Computer skills including automated test equipment preferred. General
Office software (word processing, email, scheduling, and database)
required.
Interest in music /music technology desirable.
