Guys, i need help. I'm about to buy the HIS 7850 but I don't know if I should go for 1gb or 2gb. The 1gb version is sold at $178 and the 2gb version is sold $202. The 2gb is a HIS IceQ x.

My specs are Seasonic M12 620w, Biostar N68S3B, athlon II. I plan on upgrading the mobo and the cpu on May. Also, ive given up on OCing so I plan to go to H77 mobos. Can you give me some H77 options? I only have $110 for it. And I'm just going for a i5 3470 since I don't have the money to risk OCing.

ty in advance. =D

Most new games like far cry 3 and even bf3 have already started maxing out 1gb of vram on high settings and since you are going to upgrade your cpu too then I would highly reccomend you get the 2gb version so that you have no memory bottleneck in the future!

Also 202 is an OK deal for an IceQ and is worth the extra cooling potential in my opinion.

No you will not crash but some games which use more than 1gig of VRAM will give you an FPS drop because all the memory on the GPU would be getting used.

Its a good investment to get a 2GB card if you are playing on a 1080p screen.

Cards with less than 1 GB framebuffer would need medium quality settings, and cards with 2GB or more can select HIGH and Ultra quality modes. But there is another factor, what happens when we increase AA modes

So getting a 2GB is worth it.
