my brother locked his phone with a security code, but forgot his code.
theres a lot of important files in that phone. is there any way to
override the code to access the phone, or maybe a way to find out what
the code is?

Did he change the default security code before enabling it?

If NOT then you should find that 12345 is the default code he needs to use.

no the default code won't work. he changed the security code, and forgot
it. we can't access the phone without the actual security code.we need a
way to override it.

You need someone that can do a UI reset on the phone using a hardware
solution. I can do it, so can many others, but it's a question of
location and cost.

It should be possible to recover the security code, but of course the
standard cable for this phone will only work once you're in the phone! If
you can get hold of an FBUS cable for your phone from somewhere, even
temporarily, you should be able to see the security code with LogoManager
Pro Suite.

I think that what you'll be looking for is a serial port data cable...
(NOT a USB cable).

Open your 7600's battery compartment and remove the battery.
Can you see a group of four contacts beneath it?

If you get the right cable, it'll connect underneath the 7600's battery to
these four contacts.
And then the top of the 7600 end of the cable will also house the 7600's
battery.
(A bit of a piggyback affair!).
It's a serial port cable so you need a serial port on your pc to use it.

Not an expensive cable i think you'll find.
I'd suggest a search on Google for 'nokia 7600 serial port data cable'.

Martin.
