Free acer laptop advice

Hello,
My acer laptop wont switch on and has a small light bulb icon which is flashing! Any ideas? It's less than a year old

Model of laptop?
What color is the bulb that is flashing?

Try starting it without the battery in the laptop and only using the power from the wall outlet.

Try the reverse also, disconnect the power cord from the laptop and try running it only on battery power.
