Every time I download an .exe file from the Internet and try to run it, absolutely nothing happens. I've tried running it in different compatibility modes, but the process will just sit there waiting to do something, but it never does. Please help because I am on the verge of just going out and buying a windows 7 install disk and rebooting the computer to windows 7. I know it's not the computer: I have an HP envy m4 1015dx with an intel core i7, 8gb or ram, and 750Gb-1Tb hard drive, and it hardly even does anything at full capacity, so can someone help me figure this out, because this is seriously the most frustrating thing I've dealt with in a new computer/operating system.
