Im Confused! PCI Express 2.0 Motherboard compatible with 3.0 Graphics?

Im planning on building my own computer well im confused because the motherboard im interested in says it has PCI Express 2.0 but the Graphics Card say its a 3.0. Do I need a Motherboard with 3.0?
