I just purchased a brand spanking new Sb Audigy card, and was very excited to get this thing installed and running.
First I disabled the crappy onboard sound and uninstalled the old sound card I had in there, and then with no problems put in the SB card and installed the drivers.
Okay everything looks fine! However to my dismay upon boot-up I get an error message saying something caused an error in piaproxy.dll. This really pissed me off!!! So I shut down and tried all the other pci slots, and nothing worked.
I have heard that piaproxy.dll has something to do with the SB mixer. But right now I have a non-working SB Audigy that I would love to see working sometime soon. Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
