Resolution becomes blurry

I've been having a problem recently with my screens resolution, it becomes distorted and blurry randomly, I've had a Dell IN1910N(19 in) for about 5 years now. Is the screen possibly going out?
My setup is as follows
Mobo-asus m4a78t-e
cpu-amd phenom II x4 965 normal clock 3.4ghz (over clocked @ 3.87ghz)
ram- patriot viper x2 4gb sticks
video card- AMD radeon DD 7950 3gb ram
os- Win 7 ult
HD- 1.5 tera seagate

Maybe is it possible for you to connect your computer to a tv perhaps through HDMI? Or a different monitor if you have one.

I will connect it using a mini display port on my friends monitor and see if anything changes.

I would say that is the best place to start!

I believe it is my graphics card not being on my mobo completely.
