I recently got a replacement headset, same model (Jabra BT250) and ran
into a issue when using the new headset. On my Nokia 6310i, the headset
now appears as a car headset ("handsfree"); previously it appeared
(correctly) as a headset (same as when a wired headset is connected).
This affects various settings. Any idea how to fix this?

Check your 6310i firmware (*#0000#). I think the latest for the 6310i
is somewhere in the region of 7.x. May not be the problem, but may help
as I know my old 6310i was hit and miss with bluetooth on earlier
firmware versions. Either that or try deleteing and repairing it a few
times. I assume you've rebooted (turned off and on) the phone a few
times when trying the pairing?

Actually, I rebooted the telephone (off/on) and now the BT250 appears
OK, as a headset. Weird. Anyway, problem solved (for now :-).
