13.1 Is Amazing

Just downloaded the CCC 13.1 Drivers for my Sapphire 7950 Vapor-x and on black ops 2 im hitting another 15+ FPS
/just now did a test on Battlefield 3 and i used to hit 75FPS now word of a lie im hitting on average 92.6
Its gave me better performance by far.

Awesome. Haven't noticed too much improvement on my end, but my cards have been running pretty well as it is.

Can't wait for the modified memory management and latency improvement in 13.2 though--that's where the major difference will be.

If you have a 7xxx series card and have been waiting for WHQL drivers, then 13.1 is amazing. The 12.11 betas were substantial improvements and account for 90% of 13.1.

That is a pretty decent improvement.

Also in Cod 4 with a server of 46 people in i was hitting 67-80 now i max out at 91. i dont know if that was just to do with 12.11 didunt like me and 13.1 LOVES me

What did you upgrade from?

If you were running 12.10, the performance difference could just be from the 12.11 updates that are included in 13.1. I largely though 13.1 was just a routine update that optimized some game profile (and significantly reduced frame latencies on the 7950), though I havent had the opportunity to play any games using 13.1 yet.

Jip, all the 12.11 Beta performance improvements were apparently shipped in 13.1. Sad to say it does nothing for an HD6850, although the new application profile interface is a vast improvement.

As for my performance gains... Not so much as I have been using pretty much the same drivers, 12.11 for a while. They just officially released it now in 13.1. But yes, the drivers are great.

AMD just turned it up a notch.

You did not update properly. Remove drivers, do a registry clean, restart and do a fresh install.

Well I uninstalled my old drivers, then installed my new drivers. I don't see what I could've done wrong.

Uninstalling something always leaves a trace in the registry, that old registry entry can interfere with newer installs.

Okay I'll do that then get back to you. Btw what kind of FPS did you get on blops 2 before and after max settings? I'm on 1920x1200 and my avg frames are about 90 with 12.1.
