Not getting the right fps

Hello,

i have quad sli x590s in configuration, but I am not getting max fps on a game called AION, i hit 60 but it drops and i just dont get WHY this is happenign when quad sli is more then enough power

Quad-SLI have even more issues than 2-way SLI. Maybe it's a driver issue or the game itself not scaling properly with SLI (like GTAIV). You really should know better when you bought 2 GTX590s...

Because it's a badly coded / optimized game, like most other MMOs out there.

Same reason Guild Wars 2 still can't go above 60fps even with an overclocked i5-3570k and two GTX 670s.

yeah figured it was the coding, or windows 8 - since the game's coding probably hasnt been updated for the OS -_-

Is it possible you have a processor bottleneck? What are your specks?

if someone drops ($1500?) on 2 top of the line gpu's im SURE they have the common sense to not put a fx-4100 in it...

Well i looked at his hardware configuration and he is running a old i7 930. So ya he very well might have a processor bottleneck.


Have you checked your GPU usage during the FPS dips?

i mean the i7 is fine b/c before a certain patch/etc it was giving me +140 fps consistently.
