Will external TV tuner work with digital set top boxes?

I have a external Intex TV tuner card with remote.
I prefer external TV tuner because it allows to view TV without switching ON the CPU.

Earlier I had analog cable which I used to connect to my TV tuner to watch TV on my monitor.

But now everything has shifted to Digital TV, where a set-top box is compulsory to watch TV.

Will the new digital system work with my TV tuner?

Also will the setup of SET-TOP Box + TV Tuner be more complicated?

The newer, digital set top boxes should still have the ability to output analog signals via the coaxial output. However, the set top box will only output a single channel and therefore, it must be used to change channels. You're external TV Tuner will become just a glorified video capture device.
