hi, i'm looking for a new card to run games at 1080p hopefully max eg skyrim, crysis 3 once it's out can anyone recommend a card for around the price tag of £150 i've had a look at the Radeon HD 7870 RoyalKing Graphics Card but i thought i'd get your opinions on cards that are best for this price range. i'd like to play at good frames. your thoughts?

I believe the gtx 660 will be a good choice, it really depends on if you're a nvidia fan boy or a amd fan boy .. or girl. To be honest the only reason why nvidia beats amd is physX it does improve your gaming experience because you're looking at amazing realistic gameplay but than again do you want to spend a little bit more for it?

my choice would be the gtx 660 but if you don't care about the little bit more effects you can always get the 7870 which will beat the 660, but wont beat it when you have physX enabled...

Note: PhysX in only enabled in games such as Batman Arkham Asylum, diablo 3, Borderlands 2 (best looking) and metro 2033..

You could atleast put physX on low settings and be able to play smoothly but yeah it just comes down with your choice...

But than again the 660 can be overclocked more since that msi unlocked the voltage on the card to you can over volt it giving you more overclocking abilities, which the 7870 doesn't really have.

I too Suggest a GTX660 over any 7870.
But if you only care about fps, Get a 7870.

A GTX660 is smoother and Gives Many features like TXAA, Adaptive V-sync and Physx.
Now Google them and know about them ;)

I too have a GTX660, MSI Twin Frozr III OC.
