I bought an Antec SX635 Mini Tower case with 350W power supply. It has been running well for about a month. Now the power supply fan has started making a chirping noise. Is this common? It stops making the noise if I put my hand over the exhaust fan for the power supply. Should I return for warranty?

thanks

Tommy

Make sure the mounting screws are tight. If they are, return it for a replacement.

I have an Antec 1030 for about a year. The PSU have been working fine. I think it should be uncommon since most people think Antec also make quality PSU. I will return for a replacement.

It sounds like a foreign object may have been sucked in there somehow. When you put your hand over the outlet you are probably changing the direction of air flow slightly away from the foreign object. If you have a way to blow pressurized air through the power supply (canned air or air compressor) you may dislodge it.

I can't think of a good signature so I'll use this one.
