Hello, I'm looking to buy a computer and the one i'm looking at has mobile intel hd video card With shared video memory of 64-1696mb. I'll have 8gb of ram preinstalled. I've read somethings about shared video memory and it seems like this set up sucks for gaming. My question is if I upgrade to 16gb of ram will this help with the graphics games?

Solution
No, it won't help. (Going from 8 to 16g)

The problem is the internal grapghics (Intel HD). They are just pretty weak. Maxing out the shared memory at over a gig is better than using the bare minimum, but the internal GPU is what's really holding you back.
