Nic or Onboard Lan..

Any opinion as to which is prefered, and why ?
should I add a sperate card in, or will onboard be just as good?

  1. Onboard Lan is fine. My company have been using onboard NIC for most of the computer. They work fine.
  2. I have onboard and have disabled it and used a pci one on the same board .. no difference in performance so I went with freeing up the pci slot option and back to onboard
