plexor and dvd: a match made in heaven

word is on the streets, plextor is making a line of dvd drives, any one got any dirt on this?

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.

I was wondering about it for sometime. Plextor have been manufacturing high quality CD-ROM and CDRW drive for a long time. Why Plextor is not manufacturing DVD?

I've got a Pioneer DVD-106 (16x DVD) and it works fine. I don't think there's as much difference between DVD-ROM drives as there is between cd burners. The slot in on the Pioneer is damn nice too.
