Graphics card or psu broken?

My computer suddenly no longer boots when the graphics card is connected to the power supply. It used to work fine. All the fans inside my pc spin for like a split second, then stop and nothing happens. Without graphics card my pc boots fine without any problems.

Graphics card: xfx amd radeon hd 6870
psu: corsair modxstream pro 700w

Can anyone help me?

if you can boot without graphics try stress testing your computer with prime 95 for example. if it wont shut off it means your power supply if ok and its the graphics card. if it shuts down it means your power supply is weak and it will give up on you soon

Bad PSU - start shopping.

Try another PSU or the Card in a spare / friends system. Likely to be the PSU. But Try before you buy.
