Hello All;

I'm new to forums so please bare with me.

I have a Philips Freevents HEPC 9602 all-in-one which has a problem with the graphics card, (Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS model:p419). I've managed to find out that I cannot use another card as these were programmed to work only with Philips. My questions are -

Is there a way to get around this problem so I that I'll be able to use any graphics card now and in the future?

Should I get my card reflowed?

Thank-you in advance

All-in-one systems are generally like laptops in the fact that they are not really able to be upgraded outside of a few generic components. In this case the drivers provided by Philips are probably the limiting factor here. Even if you were able to physically swap out the card (sometimes not possible due to attachment to board) you would need a driver specific for the mobo/card combo, which you will probably not find.

What is the problem with the card?

Thank-you for responding.

I have lines going down and across my display. I've replaced the inverter but that wasn't the problem. I discovered that there had been a problem with these particular Nvidia cards.

Thank-you again
