Connecting video card

Hello,
have a sapphire radeon hd 7850 video card. has a 6 pin connector for psu
psu (ocz mod x stream 700w) comes with 4 pin connector
can i use the pci express cord that came with psu to connect to video card and then to the red 6 pin slot on psu

Hi. Do you have the OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W? If so, the PSU should have two PCI Express plugs and you only need one of them to connect to the graphics card. It should look like the plug 3rd from the left in the image below.

It should be a cable with red plugs. You can just use the cable with 6-pin instead of one with 6+2-pin since you don't need the extra 2 pins.

yes that is what I have...so connect the 6 pin end to video card... and 8 pin end to red 8 pin insert on psu.
sorry first time build
so then I'm not using the cord that came with video card
