HD 7970 VS GTX 680

Hi guys
I have seen many people who tell l that with the latest drivers of amd 7970 performs better than 680 but they compare a gtx 680 vs overclocked 7970 with gtx 680 so basically who is the winner when both 680 and 7970 are overclocked to the extreme... !!"
I would like to see a clear winner...!

Well, the 680 is a better GPU than the 7970. However, the 7970 GHz Edition is better than the 680. The 7970 is more comparable to the 670.

When overclocked, the 7970 ghz will perform better. This is largely due to the 7970 ghz having a larger bus width and higher memory.

Perform better may not be an accurate description. When both are OC'ed to their max, the 7970 will on average have higher FPS. However, until AMD fixes their drivers, which they are working on, the 680 has had smoother game play. AMD is currently 2 years behind Nvidia on that issue, so I don't know how long it will take to catch up.
