My computer specs:
16GB ram / 120GB SSD / 2TB HDD / Intel i5 3570K / ATI Radeon 7870 2GB

So, I was wondering how do you get more FPS on a computer? Is it depends on the monitor or the specs of the computer?
My monitor is: ASUS H242H Black 23.6" 5ms HDMI Full 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1

okay, let me clear this up.

The monitor has NO impact on FPS.

running the game at higher resolutions however will have an impact on FPS.

Also you could try turning down some of the video settings in the game.

Some settings that drain performance are Anti-aliasing, Post processing and HBAO if the game supports it.

The main factor in gaining performance in game is the bound by the performance of the GPU.

The easiest way to improve the frame rate is to reduce all graphic settings and make sure you aren't running any intensive programs in the background.

Other than that, fps increases come with either upgrading hardware or overclocking.

if you use ATI, try to lower anti aliasing, and remove checklist on v-sync. or click the default setting on your game and CCC
