I'm guessing it's here because it is a consumer operating system... (at least the home version). XP should have a forum of it's own considering it doesn't fit correctly into either category.

Yeah, the issue of XP having a forum of its own has been addressed many a time. It's like an interweaving of consumers and business users into one OS of two variations.
