Hello, is it possible to connect usb male to usb male to 1 linux machine to 2 windows machine or linux to linux

usually u could connect through serial Port to serial port ( telnet ) but the present machines come with usb (female conectors ). I need to use Hyperterminal ( windows ) to connect to a linux machine ( It has to be programmed first so i can ssh to it)
