my name is al. I have: mobo d915gev, 4 gigs of ddr2 ram, antec truepower tro 550 psu, 2tb of hdd space, run widows 7 ultimate 64 bit and use an intel Pentium 4 3.0 ht 630;;; need a new graphic card. running a ati 1600 pro w/512 ddr2 gigs. need a new card. I know its a old system but its been a work horse for many, many years now. I maintain it a lot. so it should work into the future. Just so you know the pc in question is not my only one. I built a new one : i5-2500k, msi p67a-g45 mobo, 630 psu, 16 gigs of ddr3 ram, 8 tbs of hdd, an evga 560 with 1 gig ddr5 in a gaming mid tower. So you see I have a good one but the intel pc is a frend. But I do need a new graphic card that will last. thanks alstoney.

That pc has one pcie x16 v1 slot. The hard part will be finding a card that is backwards compatible with v1. The pther problem is that the cpu is so old that anything more powerful than an HD 3850/4670 will be bottlenecked by it.

Good luck in your search.
