HELP! Game crashing..

Hi, i recently built a new system. finished everything and when i run any type of games in 1-5 seconds into the game (not loading screen, when you can move around) my whole comp freezes and i have to turn the power off...

my spec's:
Motherboard: Intel ASRock X79-Extreme-4 (ddr3)
CPU: Intel Core i-7-3930k
RAM: 16g (4 x 4g Patriot Viper Xtreme [frequency : 2133])
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 570

i think that is all i need to include..
but anyway, i run a game and my whole computer freezes. I have ran atleast 4 games so far.
my laptop has a worse graphics card than the gtx 570 yet it can play all those games i ran:
- Saints Row the Third
- Boarderlands
- Rage
- Modern Warefare 3

Update bios and all drives.

Drop your RAM frequency and see if that helps. Download a graphics benchmark tool (I use unigene engine & furmark) and check your GPU is not overheating.

Also download 'Coretemp' and see what temps your CPU is running at.

Try a game with 1 x 4GB RAM installed, it could be faulty RAM causing the issue.
