Best CPU to go along with mobile GTX 680M?

Hey, gents.

Getting a lappy. Strictly gaming/school. No video editing.

That said, go with the i7 3740 6MB cache or splurge and get the i7 3840 8MB cache. For 2MB more cache it is almost $200 more. Worth it?

I've been led to believe the i7 3740 6MB cache will be plenty fine...true?

Cache memory is something that you should consider.
3740 is a great processor but if you want better performance go for the 3840.
Since you said you'll be needing it for gaming and schooling I'd say get the 3740 and go for a dual HD7970 for about$200 to $300more.
