about 500 bucks. Friends will be using it only for surfing the net, writing documents, watching a few dvd's, and playing solitare; but mainly surfing the net. Anyone know if this thing is worth anything or not?. I hate dell as much as the next guy, but can't seem to find the real q17's and i'm going bugeyed looking at all the lcd posts of people having problems. I told them to get a crt, but they want a lcd, any suggestions for under 600 that won't be used for games but will look very nice to the eyes? Anyone know anything about this dell model? What is their return policy, how hard etc...

You can get it for 400 something with Dell's sales, and it is a VERY nice LCD. I had the pleasure of working with one for 3 weeks (programming, internet....and beleive me did I test it  - 10 hours a day in front of it!) It treated my eyes very well and images looked great and overall it was an awesome monitor. Built a comp for a friend a few weeks ago and got him one, now he wants a second LCD of that kind! I really liked it.

The one and only "Monstrous BULLgarian!"
