Windows 8 vs Windows 7 fps

I had recently installed nfs run on windows 8 pro and get 30fps on ultra with vsync on but now i am back to windows 7 but my fps are 26-29 normally....why this issue??

well, windows 8 does have optimizations, which theoretically should give games a couple more fps.

additionally, windows 7 tends to use aero glass, which does use your gpu. windows 8 removed aero glass.

you could try disabling aero glass for a couple more fps.

when i disable aero all videos cnd movies tear

you movies tear when you disabled the see through feature for borders? that doesnt make sense to me
