I'm getting the GTX 660 Ti 2 GB gfx card today, I plan on upgrading the rest of my rig in a month or two. But what kind of performance boost will it give right now?

My specs: MSI MB H55M-E23
Intel Core I3 550 3.2GHz
550W PSU
8 GB DDR3 1333MHz
GTX 550 Ti 1 GB
Win 7 Ultimate OS 64

Also I did notice my cores were maxing out when med-high gfx(1600x900) on battlefield 3 during relatively demanding physics situations. Would there be any relief on my CPU with the 660 coming in?

Thanks ya'll

You'll see improvement, I can guarantee it. In GPU bound titles maybe quite significant while in CPU bound titles, maybe not as much. Performance will still be limited and sometimes the minimum fps doesn't improve much. However, no problem getting it in the time being until you upgrade your platform.

I'm looking at the Intel Core i5-3470 Ivybridge and MB to match it, would that be sufficient to minimize bottlenecking?
Thanks alot man :)

Yep. The 3470 can handle even higher end cards with no problem.
