Glitchy system

Hi!
My computer has gone to crap recently. I cant play ANY games that i used to because it's glitchy with every game i used to play. Lets take a game like Minecraft.i used to play at around 170Fps on full settings consistently, all of a sudden i was at 10-60 yet, no matter what settings i put the game at it acts the same way. It goes from smooth 50-60, to jumpy 10-40. it is annoying! I have done a system wipe and TOTALLY reset my computer, nothing worked. I also have all my drivers updated, every last one. I really cant figure out what is wrong and i want to get back to gaming. Help...

OK, you are using a laptop, check the power settings and be sure it's running in high power mode for games.

Also install HW Monitor, and monitor the temps while in game and while letting the system idle.

Is your Bios up to date? Or are there any settings in the bios that may be throttling your performance?

I agree with temperatures. How dusty is the inside of the laptop? Sounds to me like the gpu is getting too hot.
