My ISP gets a problem.. i m using 4mbps plan in my office..when i am checking the speed in www.netspeed.in. its showing 420 MBps speed in the flash screen.
But the speed was really slow..for opening a google page its getting 15 sec to 20 ses.please help

Increase Your Internet Speed By Other Tricks

1: go to ur desktop
2: right click on "My computer"
3: den select "properties"
4: den click on "HARDWARE" tab
5: den click "Device manager"
6: now u see a new window(Device manager window)
7: look down now u can see "Ports(COM & LPT)" ...click on it
8:den double click on "Communication Ports"
9: after open u can see a "Communication Port properties"..
10: now go the "Port Setting"
11: and now change ur "Bits per second" to "128000".
12: and "Flow control" change 2 "Hardware".

now check your connection speed here Ip-Details.com
even then your connection speed didnt get speed up then you better contact your service provider..

This in no way would affect his broadband speeds, these settings would be for a 56k modem that goes to the COM port.

As far at the speed goes, it can't be 420MBps, check the speeds again.
Is it only google that takes a long time to open? Have you done a virus and spywere scan?

are you sure its not 420 KILObits per second?

I know google is supposed to be selling gigabit internet connections soon... but DAMN!

oh hey forgot to mention... you DID disconnect the entire office, plug 1 computer directly into your modem (NOT your router connected to the modem!!!) and then ran your speed test, yes?

If not, that would explain why you are only seeing a fraction of your bandwidth, I am assuming the typo was meant to be 420 kilobits... that's the only number that makes sense here.
