Hi,

I have a 4-5 year old 17 inch CTX 1765s (I think) monitor and from time to time the monitor flickers - the screen goes blank and then comes back on again really quick. Happens every half an hour or so...

Do monitors do this eventually after collecting too much dust? I have never damaged it before.

Thanks

If it happens regularly I'd call it a sign of a slowly dying monitor. Have you double checked your monitor connections, just in case?

Yeah - connections are all ok.
Should I open it up and clean up some of the dust? I think it gets too hot after a while due to the dust...
