The 7870 is < $240 and is a major improvement over the 6870.

    A good deal:

  2. Cool that's the one I was thinking about getting.

  3. 660 Ti @ Newegg

PNY VCGGTX660TXPB GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

    $240 after rebate.

The HD 7870 is a great card too.

If you can wait a litttle longer, the HD 8XXX is planned to be released 2nd quarter 2013, as that date nears all existing GPU prices will fall.

    Good Luck !!
  4. Look for a 7870 Tahiti LE : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131484&Tpk=7870%20le

    http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=PC-787_2V3&c=CJ

It's out of stock for now, but it's worth it, it has the same shaders of the 7950, which is 1536 unified shaders, the normal 7870 has 1280.

  5. Radion HD7870 Tahiti LE is suppose to be the best card in the mid range.

    Its cost = Your budget($239)

  6. gtx 570 is decent but a bit below youre budget
  7. What Resolution? Unless you are over 1920x1080 your 6870 is only one generation back. I would wait another 2-3 months till the next gen comes out.
  8. HD 7870 Tahiti LE ... if you can find it. I did not think they were down to $240.

No telling when the tahiti version will be in stock, and I wouldn't
wait (if it was me) for the next gen to come out, you might end up waiting
several month's and then have to wait a few more till they get the drivers
tweaked to where they need to be.

I'd get a good card in my budget range now & start enjoyong the
    games.
