NAD C320 - amber LED??

Hi there

Today I turned on my NAD C320 amp to find the LED under the TAPE 1
MONITOR on, but not green, amber (orange), and the unit won't make a
peep.

I've opened it up - no sign or smell of blown components.

I notice when I press the button under the amber LED, it alternates
bright amber <-> faded amber.

I would hugely appreciate it if anybody could venture a suggestion as
to what might have happened, and how I might go about fixing it!
