If I intended to upgrade my ReplayTV 2000, would you guys recomend the
software CDs from Ebay, and if so, is it fairly straight forward to
install the software to a new hard drive? Thanks for any help...

When I upgraded my 2020 (there was no Replay 2000. perhaps that's what
you meant), I used the existing drive and RTVPatch. It's a lot easier
if your original disk still has good software.

I don't recommend these CD's on Ebay.

Check the AVS forum pages for links to the software - download it free. The
ReplayTV/Showstopper community has some excellent people programming utilities
that support these PVR's. There's no reason to pay a middleman for a CD. Many of
those programs are free.
