Intel E8500 @ 3.16 ghz with HD 7750

Hello, I'm starting PC gaming for the first time I don't have much money to spend, my current PC specs are:

Intel E8500 @ 3.16 ghz 6M cache 1333 FSB
6GB DDR2 RAM 800 mhz
500 GB HDD

The PSU is only 300W so I am limited to the GPU i can buy and in my price range the HD 7750 1GB DDR5 is the best card i can get.

Just wondering if my processor will be good enough to run this card, will it bottleneck? and will i be able to play games @ 1680x1050

thats a good set up.
you may experience some limiting from having a C2D but a decent overclock to ~3.6 or 3.8 will help that.

your system will hardly go over 150 watts while gaming so the PSU ought to be fine . .
( i'll admit i am pulling that number off the top of my head but i doubt if i am far off)

so do i have to overclock to make this card run nice? or will the stock 3.16 ghz still handle most games at medium settings?

^Sounds about right. You should be able to at least "sample" any game out there, and get "good" settings on most of them.

You will have no problem playing games with video settings set to Medium.
