Connecting PC to TV using cable with HDMI and VDI ends

hi, can someone please show me how to connect my pc to tv using a cable which has a hdmi at one end and vdi at the other end. The dvi plug is at the back of my pc monitor. After successfully connected, do I have to input data in the pc? Thanks!!

If your pc has an HDMI port and yout TV has a DVI port all you need to do is connect the cable to both and switch monitors from Display options. Keep in mind that not all DVI in ports can host sound input! There is a chance that you will be able to see from your TV but not hear the audio from TV.
