Can i play far cry 3, hitman absolution and battlefield 3 on ultra settings (1080p monitor with i5-3570k) with a msi gtx 660ti power edition card?
If gtx 660 ti can't, can i do it on a gtx 670? I can't afford 670 but i wanna play those games on ultra settings.
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
CPU: i5 3570K
GPU: MSI gtx 660ti PE
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-700GUK 700 Watts
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 120 GB SSD
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO Cooler
Yep, you absolutely can. If you're only going to be playing with 1 x 1080p monitor, you should be fine.
I've been in the market for an upgrade recently, and the only reason I was considering a 670/7950 was because I wanted to support 3 x 1080p monitors.
I hope you have more storage space than that Agility 3 though! It would drive me nuts with only 120GB
Thanks for the quick reply man. Ye i have two additional HDDs. Both 500GB.
I saw some reviews and benchmarks saying that i cant play far cry 3 and hitman absolution on ultra settings with 660ti. That was the reason for me to ask this question here.
I play Far Cry 3 comfortably on ultra at 2560x1440 which is nearly double the pixel count of 1920x1080. I have a Radeon HD 7970 (overclocked to 40% more performance vs stock) so you should be fine with a 660 ti at 1080p.
I have an MSI GTX 660 ti, and I just finished Far Cry 3, had all the settings on max on 1920x1080 and it was great. I will say though there was a patch for Far Cry a couple of days ago and since then it has sudden random freezes for about a second, doesn't happen very often, but it didn't happen at all before the patch.
Anyway, the 660 ti has been performing very well at 1080 for me, I've been playing BF3, FC3, Total War games, Civ V, Sleeping Dogs, Skyrim (with graphic enhancing mods) and many other AAA games with no problems at all.
