Need help with refresh rates on new Asus VG27AH.

Hello all, my old monitor died on me so I sent it back to ASUS and they ended up sending me a new VG27AH (monitor) for free. I have seen a lot of people posting guides on how to get 1920x1080p with 75hz. Unfortunately, all the guides and things I found were for Nvidia Control Panel and people with those cards. I have an HD5850 and could not make any custom refresh rates in their CCC tool.

Whenever I select 75hz in any display option screen it grays out all 1080p resolutions. If anyone knows how I can get 75hz on my new monitor any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I forgot to mention in case anyone was wondering this monitor is in fact 3D but does not support 120hz. It's maximum refresh rate is 75hz.

  1. You sir are wrong.
Looks like 60Hz is max on that monitor at 1080p

The last 2 pages of the User Manual (25 and 26) state that at 1080P max Refresh Rate is 60Hz.
  2. Hmm seems it says the same for the 23 inch version of this monitor in the user manual but people get 72-76hz with it.

See I'm trying to do the same thing. I just don't know how to put in custom timings with CCC.

    Maybe that helps (2nd Post):

Not all Monitors (of the same model) have the same overclocking capabilities. Maybe your Monitor isn't able to run on 75 Hz in FullHD.
