I have no problem viewing subtitles which have the .srt extension but
some movies come with 2 other types of file extensions: xxxx .idx
along with xxxx.sub.
I have tried burning the avi file along with just the file with the
..sub extension and also with both included files (.sub & .idx).
Regardless of which I select, I can never view the subtitles even
though the Philips upgrade documentation says I should be able to view
..sub files.
Any idea what's happening or suggestions on how to rectify the
problem?

Thanks in advance,
Arawak

This obviously has nothing to do with Replay. Consider posting on an
appropriate newsgroup.

Perfectly right. I accidentally posted to wrong group.
Apologies.

I have that problem too. However, I LOVE that DVD player. It makes watching
downloaded movies a breeze
