Hey guys kind of a rant type o thing!

Firstly i just bought my new Club 3D 7870 and a 700w psu and i can play crysis 3 medium-High and LoL and very high while remaining a solid 60 fps with a frame lock on aha and i know if i had a better cpu i could get ultra on crysis but here are my specs:
Intel Pentium e800 Dual core 775
Asus p5g41t-m lx2
Club 3d 7870 RoyalKing

And i am obviously upgrading my cpu soon but for the minute i bought a gpu and i had lots of people on here saying you will get really bad bottlekneck your cpu cant handle a 7770 etc and i went ahead and bought it anyways and thank god i did it has improved my gaming experience alot

So here to the point people who are new to computer building etc do what you think is right and what you can afford at the time... i am not saying dont ask for help just take peoples suggestions with a pinch of salt meaning dont just do what a few people tell you to do.

Cheers for reading

Jake

The GPU isn't everything in gaming. While it's important, a lot of things like AI and ray-casting are CPU-based. Shadows are as well, I believe. So on Ultra graphics the higher-resolution shadows and things of that nature could be what's causing the bottlenecks.

Yeah but crysis 2 n 3 are garbage consolized unoptimized garbage

Test your systems power on something like crysis 1 bf3 metro etc

lol, yeah, play skyrim. you will be dropping down to 20 fps in some areas. And honestly, I dont actually believe you that crysis 3 runs very high settings at 60fps, people arent even getting that with a much better cpu than you and with better graphics cards.

League of Legends? That game can be played on a toaster.

Singleplayer BF3 right? I have a hard time believing that in 64player multi-player matches you are getting 50-70fps on ultra. No way. Not with that CPU.

Skyrim you will drop a lot in towns, unavoidable with that CPU.

WoW...try a raid 25man fight and see what happens.
