Msmsgs exe windows 7

I run Win7 and for some reason (probably relating to it being blocked by sysadmins) I am unable to log into Windows Live. msmsgs.exe worked for me under XP, but it doesn't exist in Win7. I can get msmsgs.exe from a coworker, but it also does not work. Is there any other method to get this workaroud to work?

If it's being blocked by the sysadmins and you're trying to get round that block you'll probably end up looking for another job real soon now.

It doesn't exist because it's not installed on Windows 7... you have to download Windows Live Essentials which includes Windows Live Messenger. Earlier versions of Messenger likely won't work. Like ijack said, however, circumventing the sysadmin's block certainly won't help your employment future.
