NETWORK SECURITY KEY

DEAR SIR, 2/27/12

I HAVE A CISCO E1000 WIRELESS ROUTER. I KEEP GETTING "NEED WIRELESS SECURITY SETTINGS FOR MY ROUTER NAME. CONNECTING FROM HP-XP INTERNET TO MY LAPTOP HP-VISTA.

I HAVE ENTERED:
sECURITY TYPE: WPA2-PERSONAL

ENCRIPTION TYPE: TKIP

NETWORK SECURITY KEY: ???????

THIS IS WHERE I AM STUMPPED AT NETWORK SECURITY KEY. I TRIED WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS FOR MY LAPTOP HP VISTA, BUT IT'S NOT EXCEPTING.

I'VE BEEN AT THIS FOR 2-WEEKS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET MY VISTA TO WORK WITH MY XP.

WHERE DO I GO TO GET A NETWORK SECURITY KEY???

Hi MRSSTIG,

This network security key is the passkey which you enter to encrypt your wireless network. If you have entered and forgot it then you may reset your router and then set it again. This is gonna be the best step to avoid the error message which you have keep on getting.
