Hi-

Does anybody know of an IR blaster code that works with the DirecTV D10-
300? The serial port doesn't control the unit, and I can't seem to find a
IR code that works. Trying to get my new 5500 series RTV to work.

Thanks

The serial port is not active and I don't remember if the box has an IR
code that works. Just search the Replay forum on avsforums.com and
you'll find out.

Yeah, pretty much it looks like I'm SOL. I even called RTV support, but in
the end all they could suggest was that I contact DTV and see who made the
box. They say DTV won't share the codes with them, because they have the
competing DirecTiVo boxes. I must say that the support guy tried like hell
to set me up (and he seemed to understand that I knew I had to have the
unit plugged on and all the basic stuff).

DTV insists that it was manufactured by DTV (which I know is BS; the best I
could find in a search is that manufacturer 300 is Samsung). Anyhow, no
Samsung, Phillips, Sony, Hughes, or Thompson codes worked, and I went
through as many other codes as I could stand. PMRTFO.

I don't suppose anybody knows of a jumper that will enable the serial port?
From what I've read, the serial port (with AGR) does work on the D10's.

I don't know if you can find a mapping of Tivo IR codes to RTV IR
codes - but there is a code that works for TiVo standalones with that
unit:

If TiVo has one, odds are there is probably one in RTV.
