Hello, I run a Galaxy Geforce GT 620 2GB video card. It's already factory overclocked.

Core Clock: 710MHz
Memory Clock: 510MHz

I can run the games I plan without a problem but I would like a little bit more performance. I currently play Skyrim on high settings without AA or AF at 40 frames. That is of course reasonable for me but, if I overclocked would my performance be a lot better? I already downloaded MSI Afterburner, what settings should I try overclocking the card to?

I am totally new to overclocking and I would really like some help. The card currently runs at 30 C. I'd imagine if I OC it too much I may run into trouble of it burning up. What would recommend me overclocking it to? Thanks so much! Below I will show my exact system to be as descriptive as possible.

Solution
well first of all is do some research. see if anyone on youtube has tried to overclock a 620. google gtx620 overclock and see if there are tutorials on your specific card. when you feel confident enough try afterburner and use small steps in a gpu intensive game. i use 2mhz jumps. when you get too high your game will have artefacts and bad graphics...dial it back down a bit till its stable and it should be good.

As I know... I am buying a 7770 once I get the extra money. Would overclocking give me any performance boost at all?

Okay thank you, I was tweaking around with the settings and figured it out. I clocked the core from 710 to 900 and I got 10 more frames in Skyrim. Although the temp went up 5 degrees it's totally worth it.
