is there anyway to archive/ghost the image on a 5080 without first removing
the hard drive and putting it in another machine.

No.

A ReplayTV is not a PC with a nice operating system. We're damn lucky these
things are possible at all.

If you're asking if there is a way to plug a 2nd drive into the Replay and
then power it up and select "Clone Drive 1 to Drive 2" from a secret menu
option, then the answer is No.

Would be nice however if things where that simple. It is definately
possible.

Actually... it's not that hard to pop the HD in another machine.... If
you shop wisely you can pick up a good machine, say a 1Ghz Anthlon based
box, for oh, say five dollars (I paid 3 for mine)
