Hey so recently I was looking into buying a graphic card, and personally I do not know much technically about graphic cards to decide which is better. Anyhow long story short, I was checking out the GTX 680's over at amazon because to my knowledge they are pretty much the best around, so I wanted to get one.

So after searching around for a while I found that there was more than just '1' gtx 680, and in fact there were about half a dozen different 'brands' I guess. But what I am asking is, which of these cards are better? I am currently using an ASUS gtx 570, it is ok, although it does not quite make the cut for battlefield 3 because my framerate divers from 40-60 at 'high' settings. Not to mention games with the caliber of crysis coming out, I think I need an upgrade.

I honestly have no idea how to read graphics cards, some insight on this would be fantastic guys!

They are better at different things.

Reasons I like each:

EVGA: great customer service, good warranty, step up program which allows you to move up from your current card to a stronger card however I'm not sure how it works with the flagship cards.

ASUS: great cooling, superior components to that of evga, lower noise, and possibly more headroom if you were to overclock.

EVGA has better customer support but thats about it...
Asus has better cooling, is quieter due to the better cooling and the quality of the VRMs are better than EVGA's and Asus also have great Customer support so you dont have to worry about that... :)

thanks for the insight, yeh noise really is not a big deal i really cant hear anything in any case with my headphones being on constantly. the 670 is a good shout but that begs the question again out of the asus and evga 'brand', do the specifications vary much on these two?

670's:

evga - http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-GeF-GDDR5-Graphic-Card/dp/B00829L3W0/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1359942782&sr=1-3

Zero what so ever. I would prefer the ASUS card myself. But to answer your question no difference what so ever performance wise between the cards. You will get the same performance with either card however with the asus card it will be quieter and run cooler.
